Nashville restaurant staples are expanding: popular coffeehouse Frothy Monkey announced a fifth outpost in The Nations' Stocking 51; M.L.Rose Craft Beer & Burgers is coming to Capitol View with a third watering hole this fall; and Gulch favorite The 404 Kitchen will soon relocate across the street to Watermark's two-story space.

Soon, getting a seat at your favorite restaurant will be easier than ever. Reservation platform Resy is expanding its reign to Nashville later this summer, with restaurant partners like Husk, City House, Little Octopus, and Butcher & Bee already on board.

Two fast-casual options are heading to Nashville this summer, as well. Grabbagreen will offer healthy, on-the-go options from its outpost in SkyHouse Nashville, and Austin-based Freebirds World Burrito will be slinging fresh, made-to-order burritos, nachos, salads, bowls, and more in Green Hills.

The hospitality veterans behind No. 308 and Treehouse are collaborating on a new venture, Pearl Diver, a relaxed, island lounge slated to open in East Nashville this summer.

The Nations welcomes another new neighbor—Bare Bones Butcher—an old school butcher shop and grocery, set to open later this year. Owners Wesley Adams and Patrick Davidson are planning a whole-animal butcher shop with proteins source from local farms, as well as a small grocery stocked with fresh, local produce, cheese, eggs, and pantry staples.

The Gulch’s Night Train Pizza, complete with a revolving pizza oven, is targeting a late-July opening, with OneC1TY’s Pastaria following in September.

Two new casual restaurants are slated for East Nashville—the all-day Cafe Roze on Porter Road, and Nectar: Urban Cantina, serving juice, coffee, and tacos from McGavock Pike.

in food news:

Celebrated Nashville chef Deb Paquette now offers catering services from etc., her Green Hills eatery. Menu items, which change seasonally, can be ordered à la carte or from one of three packages for both pick-up and delivery—perfect for your next meeting or event.

Local staples answer restaurant, Henrietta Red, and Urban Cowboy Public House are upping their weekend brunch offerings, with Maneet Chauhan’s Tánsuŏ joining the Sunday brunch game earlier in June.

Speaking of brunch, Biscuit Love's new Hillsboro Village outpost is now open, bringing even more biscuit-y brunch goodness to town.

If delivery is more your speed, look no further: Panera Bread has introduced delivery service in Nashville; Green Bean Delivery just launched its app, providing easy access to fresh produce; and Minibar Delivery promises to have beer, wine, spirits, and mixers at your door in under an hour.

Hutton Hotel's 1808 Grille has a new chef at the helm. Christopher Anderson joins the team after working in Chicago's very best restaurants—Alinea and L2O—and earning his own Michelin Star at Moto (Chicago).

Have you ever wanted to try a CSA subscription, but you’re not sure what you’d do with it? Let Chauhan Ale & Masala House lead by example—they’re partnering with Green Door Gourmet to create weekend specials from the farm’s weekly CSA baskets.

A number of local restaurants are participating in the James Beard Foundation's 2017 Blended Burger Project, creating a burger that blends mushrooms with meat for a healthier, tastier, and more sustainable option. In the mood for Italian? Trattoria Il Mulino recently launched its Bellissimo Tasting Dinner, available every night upon request for $75.

It's time to stock the bar with a handful of local new releases: Peg Leg Porker just debuted its premium, 12-year-old Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey; City Winery announced its new, Nashville-inspired Rockabilly Red blend; Kentucky-based Rabbit Hole Distilling launched its specialty whiskeys in Nashville; and newcomer Seersucker Southern Style Gin is now available in Music City, too.

Kick your brunch up a notch with Party Fowl's new Nashville Hot Bloody Mary Mix, made in partnership with Music City-based cocktail mixer brand, Walker Feed Co.

It’s five o’clock somewhere: Tánsuŏ's new happy hour features a range of $6 dim sum options, classic cocktails, and special wine and beer offerings, while answer’s new “It’s 5” bar menu (available Tuesday through Friday from 5-6 p.m.) brings $5 wine, draft beer, a featured cocktail, and five different bar bites to the table.

Nashville staples Union Station Hotel and Jack Daniel's are collaborating on Whiskey Wednesdays, a free whiskey tasting series in the hotel's grand lobby every other Wednesday beginning June 21. The experience includes a tasting tour of the Jack Daniel's family of brands, as well as a guided discussion of the history and production of each handcrafted whiskey.
