Chattanooga chef Daniel Lindley introduced the concept of 5th and Taylor to Nashville. It’s centered around American, wood-fired cooking that puts mashed potatoes on every table. Set inside a historical warehouse in Germantown, the space is stunning with its exposed ceiling and industrial feel. On the menu, look for comforting fare like beer-can chicken and sausage biscuits as well as smoked items such as the mixed grill. For dessert, don’t skip the Elvis Moon Pie.
