The League of Women Voters of Nashville, a local nonprofit organization encouraging informed and active participation of citizens in government, recently hosted 'Women's Suffrage and Beyond” at the Hermitage Hotel. David Ewing shared the story of the Hermitage Hotel and its role in the passage of the 19th Amendment at the event. Honorary event chair Jane Anderson Dudley also addressed the group. Cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a cake with yellow roses symbolizing suffrage were served at the event.
The organizing committee included Cindee Gold, Debby Gould, Judy Raines and Hazel Thornton with Jane Anderson Dudley as the honorary chair of the event.
