What do a trendy flower shop in Manhattan and a muddy cattle farm in Leiper's Fork have in common? Christen Craig gathered valuable lessons from both before opening The Farmer’s Florist, a flower shop as aesthetically pleasing as it is mindful.
She offers arrangements, gardening tools, aprons, and artwork, most of which is local. Turnbull Creek Farm, Humble Flowers, and Green Door Gourmet provide her local floral selection. There are also subscriptions, deliveries, events, and styling—she often works with local establishments, like Crema.

Community-supported agriculture is a term tossed around regularly when it comes to fresh produce—but plenty of floral farmers have picked up on the trend, too.
