Melissa and Jason met through mutual friends at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Five years later, Jason proposed in front of friends and family, so that everyone could witness—and celebrate!—their engagement.
The Parthenon was the perfect venue for Melissa and Jason’s Grecian-inspired wedding. “I have always been interested in Greek mythology, and I envisioned feeling like a Greek goddess in Athens,” the bride explains. With a luxe color scheme of white, cream, and gold, soft draping, and a monogrammed dance floor, this regal, romantic wedding was fit for royalty.
The bride and groom wrote their own vows, making their wedding ceremony all the more memorable. “Reading them to one another was a very emotional and personal moment for both of us,” Melissa recalls. “It was hard for me to get through mine, but I am glad we chose to write our vows ourselves.”
“Just remember that at the end of the day it’s about you and your husband. Focus on your relationship throughout the process.”
