Meaghan and Chris met in 2011 while working at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Washington, D.C.the coworkers kept their relationship platonic for over a year before they began dating. Two years later, Chris proposed atop a bridge in the Boston Public Garden. 'In shock and on cloud nine,” Meaghan recalls, 'my ‘yes!' came easily.”
A Nashville native, Meaghan knew she wanted her wedding to showcase the 'wholesome, charming, and musically inclined city” for their 200-plus guests, the majority of whom were visiting from out of town. Special touches like monogramed burlap bags full of local goodies, a girls' day at Arrington Vineyards, and a golf tournament for the guys at Harpeth Hills gave everyone a comprehensive view of all that Music City has to offer.
With its exposed brick, original wood beam ceilings, and killer view of downtown Nashville, Acme Feed & Seed's third floor was the perfect venue for Meaghan and Chris's friendly, fun, and classic wedding reception. The bar was stocked with signature cocktails (his a Tom Collins; hers a Kentucky Mule), and string lights hanging from the ceiling lent the space a warm and welcoming feel.
'One of the coolest parts of the process was that we personally knew almost every vendor that we used,” says Meaghan about the planning. 'It was very much a team effort with a lot of personal meaning behind each choice.” The couple's hard work paid off, and they were able to enjoy their Nashville wedding weekend surrounded by their closest friends and family.
'We are blessed with fantastic friends and family and wanted everyone to feel as loved as they collectively make us feel every day.”
