Donut Den

This family owned and operated Nashville shop has been cranking out old-fashioned donuts and pastries since 1973. Donut Den feels totally homey and retro—it’s even got red leather diner seats and black and white tile floors. Ditch the trendy dessert locations popping up around the city and get back to basics with a trip to this local gem. facebook.com/foxsdonutden

The Donut + Dog

This donut shop is far from traditional; it offers the unique combination of hot dogs and donuts. (In honor of National Donut Day, they’ve debuted a new flavor, too: The Southern Belle has peach jam filling and brown butter glaze topped with local, Brittle Brothers pecan brittle. The interesting flavor profiles at The Donut + Dog will get your taste buds jumping and spark great conversation between friends and family. thedonutanddog.com
