Every August, Nashville Lifestyles hosts the ultimate mixology competition: Bartender Bash. This year’s participants represent the city’s best behind the stick. Here, they offer up cocktail recipes to mix at home using this year’s spirits, Woodford Reserve Double Oaked and Cooper’s Craft.

Summer’s End

Ingredients:
2 strawberries, sliced
1 ½ ounces Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
½ ounce elderflower liquer
3 dashes house bitters
½ ounce simple syrup
Lemon peel
3 strands saffron

Directions:
Muddle strawberries in a mixing glass. Add remaining ingredients. Shake and strain over ice in rocks glass. Garnish with lemon peel and saffron strands.

Ingredients:
1 ½ ounces Cooper’s Craft
½ ounce Falernum
¼ ounce Ancho Reyes
¼ ounce lemon juice
2 dashes plum bitters
2 dashes Peychauds bitters
Lemon peel
Grape soda

Roger’s Reviver

Ingredients:
2 ounces Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
¾ ounce Crème de Moir
¾ ounce lime juice
¾ ounce blackberry apple jam
1 drop violet extract
Apple slice
Blackberry

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a tin. Shake and double strain into a glass. Skewer apple slice and blackberry to garnish.

Double Smoked Double Oaked

Ingredients:
2 ounces Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
½ ounce smoked peach syrup
4 dashes Woodford Barrel Aged Bitters
Peach slice
Woodford Bourbon Cherries

Directions:
Combine ingredients over ice in a mixing glass. Stir and strain into smoked rocks glass with fresh ice. Spear peach slice and cherries to garnish.

Ingredients:
1 ½ ounces Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
¾ ounce Amaro Nonino
¾ ounce Punt e Mes
¼ ounce Benadictine
2 dashes Peychauds bitters
2 dashes Jerry Thomas Decanter bitters
Laphroaig rinse
Orange zest
Cherry garnish

Directions:
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass. Stir and strain into Laphroaig-rinsed coupe. Garnish with orange zest and cherry.

1 ½ ounces Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
½ ounce Oloroso Sherry
½ ounce Velvet Falernum
½ ounce Carpano Bianco
5 drops Tiki bitters
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Orange peel
House-made brandied cherry

Directions:
Combine ingredients over ice and stir. Strain over fresh ice. Garnish with orange peel and house-made brandied cherry.

2 ounces walnut- and vanilla-infused Woodford Double Oaked
½ ounce Orange Oleo Saccharum
4 dashes house-made bitters
Hand-chipped ice cube
