Lower Broadway is abuzz with neon lights, healthy bar tabs, and an abundance of live music. Here, we’ve got nine honky-tonks that are new to the scene (with a few soon to come), where you can enjoy skyline views, cold brews, and no shortage of tunes from up-and-coming artists.

AJ’s Good Time Bar

Named after Alan Jackson’s 2008 country hit “Good Time,” AJ’s Good Time Bar offers four floors of just that. The first two floors, AJ's Honky Tonk and AJ's G.T. Bar, opened first, with the third floor and rooftop Star Bar being unveiled this summer. Here, Jackson hopes to give locals and visitors alike access to real country music—the kind that put Nashville on the map.
