Drink of the Month: Jack Daniel’s Rye Ball

Jack Daniel’s Rye Ball

The Jack Daniel Distillery has used its 150-year whiskey-making expertise to create a rye whiskey Jack’s way—spicy in flavor but sippin’ smooth in character. Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye launched nationally last October.

Paired with lemon juice, simple syrup, bitters, and soda, the Rye Ball is smooth and citrusy with a kick.

1 ½ parts Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye
½ part fresh lemon juice
½ part simple syrup
2 dashes of Peychaud’s bitters
Splash of soda water

Build all but soda in glass and shake or stir. Strain into highball glass with ice. Top with soda and garnish with lemon wheel.
