The Andrew Jackson Foundation celebrated its 116th annual Spring Outing with Nashville Mayor Megan Barry as the keynote speaker for the luncheon, and more than 450 guests at the mansion and grounds.
Spring Outing is a Nashville tradition that began in the early days of the Ladies' Hermitage Association as a picnic on the lawn of the mansion and has evolved into one of the major events held at Andrew Jackson's Hermitage. It regularly features nationally known speakers who present on a variety of topics, including politics and history. Previous keynote speakers at Spring Outing include NPR's Mara Liasson, Tennessee First Lady Crissy Haslam and New York Times best-selling author Karen Kingsbury.
