Ballet Ball 2017 co-chairs Laura Currie and Martha Ivester honored the Ballet Ball 2017 underwriters and members of the Corps de Ballet Committee (formerly the Ladies' and Gentlemen's Committees) with a special celebration at the home of Heathie and Chip Cox for Soiree de Corps. Just as the 'corps” of a ballet ensemble (the dancers who perform together as a group) supports the soloist dancers, this committee supports Ballet Ball in a major way. Guests enjoyed food catered by Johnny Haffner.
Soiree de Corps is one of many celebratory events leading up to this year's highly anticipated Ballet Ball, the largest annual fundraiser for Nashville Ballet, to be held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Saturday, March 4. This unique gala provides the necessary funding for Nashville Ballet to bring accessible dance education programming out into the community, reaching nearly 40,000 children and families throughout Nashville and the surrounding area through its Community Engagement Program.
