Chair-ish the Night

Chair-ish The Night with Vince Gill was a magical night of art and music helping Students Taking A Right Stand (STARS) assist mid-state students, families and schools with tough social and emotional barriers to learning. In its fourth year, Gill brought surprise guests Sheryl Crow, Keb’ Mo’ and “Pontoon” hit writer Natalie Hemby for the sold out concert at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum with event chair Christy Smith and patron chairs Tennessee Titans Kicker Rob Bironas and singer/songwriter Chad Warrix. The ADAM Award, (Accepting Differences Among Mankind), established in honor of STARS’s Kids On The Block founder Alva Duke’s son, Adam, was presented to Annalise Barron, of Franklin, who started the TN Chapter of Best Buddies. Founded in 1984, STARS is a nationally recognized and evidenced-based resource for student assistance, training and professional consultation.
