The Southeastern Young Alumni (SEYA) Charitable Foundation's 2016 The Affair to Care Mardi Gras Ball was presented by First Tennessee Foundation and is an annual fundraiser for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt University. The Mardi Gras celebration was held at Rocketown in downtown Nashville. Guests enjoyed live entertainment by The Downtown Band, heavy appetizers and an open bar generously donated by local vendors, and a silent auction offering big-ticket items from Music City's best hot spots and venues.
