Event Description

Edna Lewis Dinner and Literary Salon

at Butcher & Bee

Taking place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, in conjunction with the release of Sara B. Franklin’s new book Edna Lewis: At the Table with an American Original, Butcher & Bee will host an evening of readings by some of the food world’s most prolific voices, including the author, Sara Franklin, and contributors, John T. Edge and Caroline Randall Williams. In addition, chef Bryan Lee Weaver will prepare a family-style meal with guest chef Levon Wallace of Gray & Dudley.

Tickets to the event are $55 per person and can be purchased here. Each ticket purchase includes a signed copy of the book, a welcome cocktail, and a family-style dinner.

A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to support the Southern Foodways Alliance’s good work of documenting, studying, and exploring the diverse food cultures of the changing American South.
