Franklin Wine Festival — Friday, October 19
Join the crowds at The Factory at Franklin for a celebration enjoying more than 300 wines, culinary offerings from more than 30 Middle Tennessee restaurants and caterers, a live and silent auction, interesting and educational seminars, and live entertainment. Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.
Vanderbilt Commodores game — Saturday, October 20
The 'Dores play fierce rivals, Auburn Tigers at home in Nashville this Saturday. Game time is quite precise, with an 11:21 a.m. start. Grab a quick breakfast at West End Cafe and head on over to the stadium before the competition gets underway.
Hauntings at the Hermitage — October 20-27
Get out this weekend to the 12th Annual Hauntings at The Hermitage. Celebrate the holiday with ghost stories, a haunted hay ride through the Hermitage fields and old barn, fun Halloween themed movies in our outdoor movie theater, music, food, games and activities for kids, and more. It’s all about expressing yourself: use color to share how you feel, add your favorite Nashville landmark to our community map art work, and make an image transfer collage that celebrates your favorite hero. Enjoy a day of discovery and creativity, filled with art activities, live music, and exciting demonstrations.

Listen as Artful Tales storyteller Thandiwe Shiprah shares an original story about a little girl who uses her camera to change her world, polka to German Folk music by The Musik Meisters, and enjoy the Jazz-land puppet show Ellingtown with Nashville Public Library’s Wishing Chair Productions.

Of course, don't miss out on the exhibitions in the gallery, including: Carrie Mae Weems: Three Decades of Photography and Video, Brian Alfred: It’s Already the End of the World, and German Expressionism from the Detroit Institute of Arts.
