Now in its 18th year, the Americana Music Festival and Conference will take over Music City this month, with more than 300 artists slated to perform. Each year, the fest celebrates this contemporary genre made up of various American-roots music styles, including country, roots-rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B, blues, and every combination of these genres. Plus it brings together legendary artists, the next generation of rising stars, and industry professionals. For six days, the gathering provides plenty of music and education, and showcases the breadth of Americana’s influence on a global scale.

The musical marathon takes off at the Americana Honor & Awards Show on September 13 on the Ryman Auditorium stage. Ticket prices for the conference range from $199 to $499; festival wristbands cost $75; americanamusic.org
