It's no secret that Nashville is a popular stop for a weekend getaway. What's more difficult to find is a way to experience the city through the lens of a local. That's where Dani Dubetz and her vision for cultivating a true sense of Nashville come into play, and October marks the one-year anniversary of Music City Loft's grand opening.
Walk through the doors of the sleek vacation rentals, and there's an immediate sense of home. Exposed brick, works by local artists, pristine hardwood floors, and an upscale feel give the place a cozy yet unique air. The lofts sit in the heart of downtown and offer a view of Printers Alley plus easy access to many popular restaurants and museums.
Dubetz's dream began with the intention of flipping one of the lofts; instead, she turned the tables and opened the 16 fully furnished apartments for short-term stays in 2014. The lofts are named after Nashville stars, past and present, and aim to capture each one's character. The June apartment, for example, is inspired by June Carter Cash and boasts subtle hints of blueher favorite colorthroughout the decor. Other rooms include the Waylon, Dolly, Fancy, Elvis, Kenny, Taylor, Brooks, and Dunn.
Dubetz is celebrating Music City Loft's milestone with a party at the Bridge Building on October 22. It's a time for her and the team to both reflect on what has taken place over the past year and cast a vision for how they'll keep moving forward.
'Nashville has created such an amazing environment for a community of successful entrepreneurs,” Dubetz says. 'For a while, I had to stay in my little focused bubble, and now that I'm out for air, it's time to enjoy this.”
