Oftentimes, I pick the art before I design the rest of the space. It allows each room to have its own identity within the larger feel of the home. While taking on the dream task of curating a library, I bought my clients a book of the artist Bryan Nash Gill's wood prints and they fell in love with with them immediately. The charcoal walls showcase his prints beautifully. I love to pair classic mid-century pieces, like these Wegner Wishbone chairs, with more rustic pieces such as this reclaimed parsons table. We designed this Patterson Flynn and Martin silk rug, poring over hundreds of thread colors and patterns, which took an eternity but turned out perfectly. It's one of my favorite pieces in the home.
