Four Festival Hairdos

The pro's tip: Work your hair and makeup in reverse. In the morning, start with your hair down, while it's fresh, saving the up-dos for later. And consider the same simplicity for your makeup, starting with a subtle, natural look and gradually adding color throughout the day.

Amanda Craig and Derek Reynolds opened Leigh, Edwards & Company (a combination of their middle names) early last year, uniting their comprehensive industry experience and passion for the craft. Craig is a sought-after stylist in the music industry—she’s worked with Blake Shelton, Raelynn, Cassadee Pope, and Miranda Lambert—while Reynolds is a salon veteran, having worked with renowned stylist Rodney Cutler. Their White Bridge space, decorated with childhood photos and vintage finds, is welcoming and private—so much so, that some celebrity clients often forego a private room for the main salon floor.

With plenty of festival-season experience, these pros know how to create a look that’s both effortless and functional, carrying a girl from the early hours to late at night. “It has to be comfortable and something that feels good, but it also has to be something that you can wear with confidence,” Reynolds says.
