The featured designer of the 11th annual Symphony Fashion Show, industry legend Carolina Herrera, is the embodiment of timeless elegance. Herrerawho dresses first ladies and Oscar nominees alikeis coming to Music City fresh off the heels of showing her Fall 2016 collection at New York Fashion Week. The collection, which will be presented at the symphony show on April 26, is all about texture, featuring interjections of bright purple and floral prints (a beloved motif of Herrera's) in a delicious pastel palette.
Nicole Kidman will serve as honorary chairman of this year's event, with Lily Aldridge, the face of Herrera's latest ad campaign, serving as celebrity chairman. Other festivities include pre-show cocktails, musical guest Sara Evans, and post-show food and drinks. A patrons' party will be held on April 25 at the Tennessee Governor's Mansion, and a Herrera trunk show at local boutique partner Gus Mayer is set to take place for two days following the big event.
Proceeds from the show will benefit the Nashville Symphony's new Accelerando program, which provides musically gifted students in grades 5 through 11 with the opportunity to pursue their musical dreams through college. The show has raised nearly $2 million to date for children across Middle Tennessee.
