The Nashville Ballet celebrated its 30th anniversary this season during the Ballet Ball in March, which inspired us to put together a ballet-inspired spring fashion shoot. To help, we recruited music and entertainment photographer Kristin Barlowe who partnered with our team to pull inspiration and looks for the shoot (click through the gallery to see!). Working with our in-house stylist, wardrobe stylist Samantha Roe helped put together a palette of white, pink, gray, and black.
We mixed ballgowns, sequins, lace, fur, jumpsuits, and fringe with traditional ballet attire like leotards and most importantly pointe shoes. Ana Monique via AMAX Talent created stunning makeup looks that were fresh, pretty, and natural and hair that allowed for movement. Our models, Andrea Vierra, Mary Ruth Isbell, and Emily Rhyne are current dancers with New Dialect, a nonprofit contemporary dance collective and training program based in Nashville.
Catch it all thanks to videographer Preston Leatherman of Nashville/Create who documented the special day with us at White Avenue Studio. Watch our full behind the scenes video below!
