Pretty in Pink! Nashville star Hayden Panettiere donned a fuchsia Roberto Cavalli gown with a perfectly coordinated pop of blue in her accessories by Sutra Jewelry. Hayden chose bright Red Velvet shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti—wouldn’t have been my first choice but she pulled it off looking fresh faced and beautiful!
Lovely in lace! Shawna Thompson of Thompson Square was right on trend in a Jovani lace peplum black dress and elegant accessories. The peekaboo sheer panels add a hint of sexiness to the feminine, chic fabric. Celebs have been hitting the red carpet in variations of this trend... including style icon Kate Middleton, Carrie Underwood, Kristin Stewart, Taylor Swift, Hayden Panettiere, and Blake Lively.
Carrie took a night off from her usual sparkling gowns and opted for a sophisticated, modern look. And of course, she pulled it off, strutting the red carpet in a Katherine Kidd jumpsuit from the Fall 2012 collection, Giuseppe Zanotti pumps with a black patent toe-cap, Jill Milan clutch, and Vahan bracelets.
Miranda sparkled in an amazing pale gold long sleeved Jovani Couture mini dress, gold platform Giuseppe Zanotti heels, Lauren Craft jewels, and a Judith Leiber bag. We loved that she chose to wear her hair up, showing off the stunning detail of the back of the dress.
Kasey Musgraves did not disappoint, sporting an embellished, figure-flattering black mini dress. Her simple accessories and hair complemented the pattern of embellishment.
For the first time ever, CMT is keeping its illustrious list of honorees top secret until they are revealed on air on December 8. Will Jason Aldean make it a three-peat? Will fan-favorite Miranda Lambert be honored? Will country's biggest bad boy Eric Church make his debut as one of the CMT Artists of the Year? With so many artists having had a successful year (Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, and many more), it is going to be tough to predict which artists will walk away with the CMT honor. Watch it all unfold on Saturday at 9 p.m. – but in the meantime, our style correspondent Devan Brown weighs in on the red-carpet looks.
