Damian Williams, Tennessee Titan — 2012
What is your definition of a ‘beautiful’ person?
Someone who knows and accepts who they are and uses their strengths to better themselves and those around them.

What is something that most people may not know about you?
I started a bible study on my college campus at University of Southern California.

In your opinion, what’s the most beautiful place in the city?
Love Circle. I used to go up there and look over the whole city and just think.

Favorite leaders, icons or celebrities?
Muhammad Ali and Jay Z.
Outfitted by Levy’s
Lisa Marie Presley, Singer, Songwriter, Philanthropist — 2012
When asked how Lisa Marie felt about her return to Tennessee and particularly to Nashville after a bit of a hiatus, she had three words to explain it, “feels like home”. What she thinks is beautiful? How our city embraces and appreciates songwriters.

While Lisa has spent a great deal of time outside of L.A. lately on a country estate in England raising her two 3-year-old twins, she’s excited about the new prospect of buying a home in Tennessee. Being close to all of the musical resources and talent in Nashville is a big part of it. She’ll be back in town furthering friendships later this month and will cheer on her songwriter friends at the BMI Awards as well as her favorite acts on stage at CMA’s big night. There are other appearances and performances in the works, as she’s also getting geared up to begin a tour to promote her latest album, Storm and Grace.
Kyle Andrew Strongin, NFL Contract Adviser and Agent — 2012
What is your definition of a ‘beautiful’ person?
Besides physical appearance, being kind and warm to others and having love and compassion for those in need.

Person who has been the greatest influence in your life and why?
My mom. She has compassion for everybody and is a great Christian woman.

If you had a totally wide-open day with no obligations whatsoever, how would you spend it?
I would sleep in, play golf with my buddies, watch some college football and finish up with cooking dinner with my wife and watching a movie together with the fireplace going.

In four words or less, describe your strongest and most defining personality traits.
Leader, compassionate, loving, competitive
Stacey McCloud, Fox Entertainment Reporter and TV Anchor — 2012
If there was one person you could nominate for this list, who would it be and why?
My husband Doug Green. At the age of 27 he took every penny he had (and ones he didn’t) and followed his dream of owning a venue/bar. Now at only 30, he has broken every record he set for himself, has done it alone and is about to open a couple more spots in Nashville. Oops, did I spill the beans?! Yup, watch for some fun new stuff coming to Music City!

In four words or less, describe your strongest and most defining personality traits?
Brutally honest and dangerously loyal.

What activity brings you the most joy?
“Sunday Funday” with people I love! Sometimes that means never getting out of my pj’s and spending all day inside with my husband and four children, other times it’s a cookout with my in-laws in Murfreesboro.

Person who has been the greatest influence in your life and why?
My late Granny Taylor. She made me feel like there wasn’t anything I couldn’t do. She taught me honesty, strength, independence and why some grudges can be worth holding on to. She had a hard life and I sure wish she were still here so I could pamper her with all the things she never had.
Hal Gil, Nashville Predator — 2012
What is something most people may not know about you?
I’m kind of a neat freak.

What activity brings you the most joy?
Beer on a boat. Swim and sun.

If you had a totally wide-open day with no obligations whatsoever, how would you spend it?
Eggs Benedict. Nine holes of golf. Reuben with a pint. Boat ride on Moosehead Lake in Maine. BBQ. Beers by the fire pit.

Is there a skill or activity that you want to take up or learn?
I would love to master parenthood.
Bethany Sharp, Healthcare Executive — 2012
What is something that most people may not know about you?

Person who has been the greatest influence in your life and why?
Both my mom and my dad. They've taught me everything I believe and have raised me to be the best person I can be.

Determined, faithful, loving, empathetic.

What is something that most people may not know about you?
I sleep with earplugs and pick out my clothes for the next day the night before.

If you have a secret for looking your best, do tell:
My secrets: sleep 8 hours, eat sweet potatoes, hit the gym, iron your clothes, do things that make you happy.
Jaci Velasquez, Singer and Radio Personality — 2012
What is your definition of a ‘beautiful’ person?
To love and be loved, that is the richest and most beautiful definition... and a little mascara goes a long way.

Latisse, plain soap & an old wash cloth, sunscreen (I am a Latin girl who does burn), Bumble and Bumble tea tree hair tonic and La Mer moisturizer.

What is your definition of a ‘beautiful’ person?
Someone who has an open heart, an open mind and isn't afraid to laugh. It's easy to focus on the material things but if you're beautiful on the inside, you will be loved on the outside.

What activity brings you the most joy?
Being in the studio. Watching a song come to life is an experience that never gets old.

Where do you shop for clothing and accessories in town?
My buddy Gary Allan has a great placed called "The Label.” You’ve got to check that place out.

In four words or less, describe your strongest and most defining personality traits.
Trust-worthy. Stable. Conscientious. Easy-going.

What is something that most people may not know about you?

What activity brings you the most joy?
Definitely songwriting. But I do really enjoy helping people in need.

In your opinion, the most beautiful place in the city?

Joy Marie Smallwood, Photographer — 2012
What is your definition of a ‘beautiful’ person?
A beautiful person is first and foremost a giver. A truly beautiful person has a generous and compassionate heart, even towards those who can do nothing for them in return; a giver with no agenda.

Is there an accomplishment that you are particularly proud to share?
I love making people feel beautiful. Photography has been an amazing gift that has allowed me to do this for people.

Rock House Hotel, Negril, Jamaica
Andrea Perry, Attorney — 2012
What is your definition of a ‘beautiful’ person?
A beautiful person is someone who is comfortable in their own skin, and has an inner glow of kindness and warmth that radiates through a smile that shows in all they do. What is your definition of a ‘beautiful’ person?
The most beautiful people that I know think of others before themselves, are compassionate, grateful and have wicked sense of humor.

I compete in Ultra Marathons. I am embarrassingly afraid of heights and eat chocolate icing right out of the tub. Often.

Your go-to salon, spa or other local professional to keep you looking and feeling great?

My mother. She is a knockout in every way. She is kind and thoughtful, and loves taking care of others. She is an amazing cook, she can sew anything, she’s a great singer and guitar player. She carries herself with class and has incredible style. I’ve always wanted to be her.

What activity brings you the most joy?
Singing, singing, singing! I can get completely lost in music and it heals me.

Radnor Lake. I absolutely love it out there. I wish I could build a house in there. Everyone you pass on the trail is so friendly.

In four words or less, describe your strongest and most defining personality traits?
Trying to enjoy life.

Person who has been the greatest influence in your life and why?
My mother installed a wonderful sense of loving yourself no matter what you looked like which has helped me my entire life, and my dad taught me to keep my shoulders back, stand tall and smile. As he always said, “when you walk down the street with your head hanging low, no one wants to say hi. When you walk with your head up and smile, you’ll be greeted with kind hellos every time.”
Charles Shaw, Metro Police Officer — 2012
If there were one person that you could nominate for this list, who would it be and why?

Being on the lake before dawn, seeing the colors before the sun rises, drives home the point that each day is a gift.
